The SIGVARIS (formerly Biacare) ChipSleeve Thigh High uses open cell, chipped foam arranged in a directional channel formation designed to massage fibrotic tissue and facilitate drainage of fluid from the leg. Use the ChipSleeve with short stretch bandages as a bandage liner or alone with the OverSleeve as a compression garment. When used with the OverSleeve this garment provides 15-25 mmHg of gradient compression.

The open cell foam chips provide a massaging effect on the superficial lymphatics, which helps to soften fibrotic areas. A soft, stretchy, moisture wicking, anti-odor, soil release fabric keep you comfortable and protects fragile skin. The lateral rise on the upper thigh provides full coverage on the leg and minimizes pooling.

Care Instructions

How to clean compression stockings

  • Hand washing is recommended, but you may machine wash on the gentle cycle with the garment turned inside out.
  • Use lukewarm water and a mild detergent. (We suggest Sigvaris Washing Solution.)
  • To protect the garment, we recommend turning the garment inside out before washing.
  • Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.
  • Rinse well and air dry. (Avoid tumble drying.)

 

How to clean inelastic wraps and liners

  • Close any hook and loop tabs before washing.
  • To protect the garment, place in a mesh laundry bag for washing.
  • Machine wash on the gentle cycle using a mild detergent.
  • Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.
  • Tumble dry on low heat setting. Air drying is recommended to preserve the life of the garment.
  • Your inelastic wrap device should be washed as often as needed.
